what kind of emergency response plan did you have in place in case of adverse reaction?
Montgomery County Public Health held a vaccine clinic for home health yesterday and again on Wednesday. Hopefully other home health employees are getting access to vaccine from the local health department.
Regardless of their location, you can include them in whatever community they spend time in.
the pharmacy brings with them an emergency kit in case of adverse reactions and this does include an epi pen.
Which vaccine did you receive, Pfizer or Moderna?

Hi Mike, that was a thought, however..it will not allow you to sign up more than 1 person every 15 minutes. so do your own schedule with the understanding that they will need to be monitored for 15 min after
what % of Jennings staff got the vaccine?
Jennings had 108 staff vaccinated- this is about 60% of the number who is included in the nursing home bi-weekly testing
Can they recap separately the % of participation for residents and for staff?

what is happening with agency nursing staff? Seems important to get them vaccinated...can facilities vaccinate them?

Back to symptoms following the shots... did you have a higher percentage of call offs the next day after the 93 staff who took the shot?

One call off??? Wow, that is worth wide sharing. There is a big fear by health care organizations including hospitals that they will have a large number call off due to the expected symptoms
In fact Springdale Health Department has enough vaccine they are offering to vaccinate our residents with intellectual disabilities in Cincinnati so your suggestion to connect with Public Health is right on.

We absolutely expect our staff or residents who do not get the vaccine will be wearing masks for a long period in any of our public spaces.
I have heard of two providers who were paying their employees to take the vaccine ($100 to $150). Any feedback on that idea?
