We are adding more hand hygiene stations in the skilled areas of our communities. We are strategically placing them in the hallways outside rooms - will we get "zinged" on those as we had in the past?

In response to residents who leave: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/infection-control-after-vaccination.htmlPatients/residents taking social excursions outside the facility should be educated about potential risks of public settings, particularly if they have not been fully vaccinated, and reminded to avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces. They should be encouraged and assisted with adherence to all recommended infection prevention and control measures, including source control, physical distancing, and hand hygiene. If they are visiting friends or family in their homes, they should follow the source control and physical distancing recommendations for visiting with others in private settings as described in the Interim Public Health Recommendations for Fully Vaccinated People.

What about having delivery people in the building. Example can bread delivery person take to kitchen or does it still need to be left on the dock? They do not go into resident living areas.

We are having a issue with the post office, they do not want to screen or mask when coming into the building because it goes against their union contract. Has anyone else had this issue.

Hello Leading Age Panelists. My name is Jim and I am a new Administrator to the non-profit world of LTC/STR. I had some down time in between positions and therefore started to lose my footing when understanding the Activities/Dining Services relating to COVID-19. Is there any way to access the most recent regulations you are referring to so that I can update my team? I am having difficulty finding it on my own. Thank you

We are hearing that members have had a survey "opened" and then the surveyor leaves and the facility doesn't hear back from the surveyor for several days or the surveyor says they don't know when they will be back. Have you experienced this recently?
Lorelei Heineman
01:03:41
No, have not had any communities report this.
rachele rosa

Is advanced scheduling for visits still mandiated. If someone just 'drops by' do we still have to give them a visit?
